I'm Tyler Machanic, an experienced game developer and software engineer with a passion for crafting polished, engaging gameplay experiences.

With a strong background in object-oriented programming as well as game design and development, I specialize in gameplay programming (primarily with C# and Unity), game concept creation, and project management. I have extensive experience leading teams using agile workflows, managing milestones, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative game concepts to life.

My favorite areas of game development are game conceptualization, gameplay system design, combat functionality, and game balance—building the systems that make games feel great to play.

With every project, I intentionally push myself to learn something new. I try to think through edge cases, player behavior, and performance all at once—so everything holds up under pressure. I love solving problems that don't have obvious answers, especially when I can break big, messy challenges into manageable pieces.
